Unlimited knowledge from university to everyday business life

“We have developed a really exciting project here that makes it easier for SMEs to integrate innovation processes into their day-to-day business in order to remain competitive in the future.”

Support

“They are supported by teams of students who not only bring cutting-edge knowledge from the universities to the companies, but in the best case also fall in love with our Danish-German border region as a place to work and live,” says Anja Kujawski, who, together with her colleague Dagmar Jensen, was in charge of preparing the project applications for ARTEMIS and GRØN.business, the second current Interreg project of the WFG NF.

Focus and contact

Kari Kleine from the Syddansk University (SDU), lead partner of the project, explains how the process should work: “First of all, we determine the needs of the companies. That’s why I’m delighted when SMEs get in touch with one of our project partners on their own initiative. The ARTEMIS team then develops a concept for project-based initiatives and we build a cross-border network of companies.”

The German-Danish Interreg project ARTEMIS supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing and implementing innovations. The focus is on digitalization, automation and sustainability. Interested SMEs can contact Anja Kujawski from Wirtschaftsförderung Nordfriesland (WFG NF) and will be put in touch individually and specifically with teams of students who will develop creative and innovative solutions together with the respective company.

ARTEMIS runs for 3 years, started on 01.06.2023 and is funded with EU funds from Interreg 6A Germany-Danmark. The lead partner of ARTEMIS is Syddansk Universitet (SDU) in Sønderborg. The project partners are Wirtschaftsförderung Nordfriesland, Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, Europa-Universität Flensburg, Sønderborg Vækstråd, Business Aabenraa, Mind Factory by Ecco and Wirtschaftsförderung Rendsburg-Eckernförde.
